Turkey stuffing

30 minutes to prepare and 40 minutes to cook

Serves 8-10


This stuffing can be spooned into your chicken or turkey or into a buttered pan. The photo has been taken before baking.


125 grm butter
185 grm sausage mince
1 cup chopped celery
1 medium onion chopped
125 grm button mushrooms sliced
1/2 cup sultanas
1 cup chopped almonds
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried oregano
4 cups day old bread cut into small cubes
About 1/2 cup chicken stock
Salt and pepper to taste


Melt butter in saucepan, add sausage mince, celery and onion. Stir over medium heat for 15 minutes stir breaking up sausage mince.
Add mushrooms and fry another 5 mins.
Remove from heat and add sultanas, almonds, herbs, bread cubes, salt and pepper.
Add enough chicken stock to moisten.
Spoon into poultry and bake.
Or pack firmly into shallow buttered baking dish and bake for about 40 minutes or until browned at 180 deg C for 40 minutes.


Can be made earlier and baked when needed or baked and reheated when needed.
