Leek and Ham Quiche

Serves 4-5


1 small leek
1/2 cup finely diced ham
30 grams butter
2 free range eggs
2 tablespoons grated tasty cheese
200 ml cream
1 pampas savoury tart shell (frozen)
salt and pepper


1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees
2. Wash and clean the leek
3. Place the tart shell in the pre-heated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
4. Cut the leek into thin slices
5. Melt the butter in a fry pan, add the leeks and cook until softened
6. Add the ham and cook a for a further 3 minutes
7. Remove from the heat
8. Beat together cream, eggs and cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.
9. Spoon the ham and leek mixture into the tart shell
10. Pour in the cream mixture
11. Sprinkle with cheese if desired
12. Bake for 30-35 minutes and enjoy


Allow the quiche to cool before serving it.
