Super easy, delicious and an anytime for everybody dish.
1 cup rice - 5 cups milk - 3/4 to 1 cup of sugar (brown is good) handful of large raisins, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence, 1 beaten egg - some butter to dot on top before putting into the oven & some cinnamon to shake on top just before finished.
Mix all ingredients together, place in greased heat proof dish, dot some butter on top put in the oven around 180 degrees and cook - look at it around 40 - 45 min to check if dish is setting & about 5 minutes before removing from the oven shake some cinnamon on.
