Honey & Spice Bread and Butter Pudding

Serves 6


8 thin sliced white bread
3oz raisins
1oz sugar
2 eggs
12floz milk
2floz double cream
2tsp of cinnamon or nutmeg


1. Preheat oven 180oc
2. Spread both the butter and honey to the edges of the bread on one side. Cut into a triangle and place in a greased dish.
3. Sprinkle the raisins and spice over the buttered bread
4. Mix the sugar and eggs together until thick
5. Pour the milk and cream into a pan and heat until warm, then add the egg mixture in with the milk and stir until the milk turns yellow in colour
6. Pour the custard over the bread and place in oven for 15-20mins.

    I think the honey will add a whole new idea to the dish. I am going to try this one out soon.
