Satay Sauce

1 medium onion
4 cloves of garlic
1 large piece of ginger
1 piece of galengaal
1 green chilli
1 ts Ayam curry powder
1 cup peanut butter
1 can of coconut milk
1 Tbs worcestershire sauce
2 Tbs lime juice
Fish sauce to taste


Finely chop onion, garlic, ginger, galengaal and chilli and then gently fry until fragrant and golden brown. Add peanut butter and coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Add worchestershire sauce, lime juice and fish sauce. Ready to serve.


This sauce is great as a dipping sauce for chicken skewers or thai meat balls. Another alternative is to stir fry some chicken pieces and veggies together and stir into the satay sauce. Serve with noodles.
