6oz Sugar 6oz Sponge Flour 4oz Butter 3 Bramley Apples 2tsp Ground allspice 1tsp Cinammon 1tsp Lemon Juice
1/ Preheat oven to 180oc 2/ Measure out the first three ingredients and mix with Ground allspice until breadcrumb in texture. 3/ Core, Peel and quarter the apples. Place in a oven proof bowl 4/ Sprinkle the Lemon Juice and Cinammon over the apples 5/ Tip the crumble topping over the apples and cook in oven for 45mins or until top is golden in colour 6/ Serve with custard.
The sponge flour creates a light topping which does not leave you feeling overly full or sick when finished eating.
