Fish with crispy topping

Serves 4


Use a fleshy white fish. Topping can be made day before and refrigerated. The fish and topping can be put together 2 hrs before and baked when needed. Not suitable to freeze or microwave.


4 white fish fillets like blue grenadier or trevally
2 tablespoons lemon juice

2/3 cup day old bread crumbs
1 cup grated tasty cheese
1teaspoon dry mustard powder
3 spring onions (green) chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
60 grms melted butter (optional)


Grease a shallow ovenproof baking dish
Arrange fish in a single layer
Sprinkle with lemon juice
Combine remaining ingredients, mix well and spread over fish
Bake at 180 deg C for 20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
