Pesto is so quick and easy to make at home and much tastier than pesto from a jar.
30g fresh basil 20g pine nuts toasted 1 small clove of garlic 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese grated 40ml olive oil
1. Place the basil, garlic and half of the pine nuts in a blender or food processor. Blend to desired consistency. 2. Add the remaining pine nuts and blend until the nuts are partially chopped- I like the pesto a little chunky. 3. Add the oil and parmesan and mix well. 4. Serve with pasta of your choice.
