2 cups rolled oats 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 butter melted 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar
Preheat oven to 300F Combine oats, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter and vanilla, combine thoroughly. Spread in a thin layer in a greased 9x13inch pan. Press firmly with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle generously with sugar. Bake until golden brown about 20 minutes.
Let stand about 5 - 10 minutes before cutting into small squares. Cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
