This was one of my moms best recipes - I almost always chose it for my birthday dinner! She was a superb cook, and taught me well!
Ingredients
1 whole chicken, 2-3 cans of Cream of Chicken soup, celery, onion, saltines, chicken broth, egg noodles
Instructions
Cook the whole chicken in the chicken broth (simmer) with the onion and celery. Once the chicken and onions and celery are done - let the chicken cool, then remove the meat from the bones. Boil the noodles in the same chicken broth as the chicken etc. When this is done - drain the noodles, mix in the chicken, onion, and celery and soup ( I judge the amount of soup at this time!) Crumble saltines over the top and put in oven until lightly browned.
