Description

This recipe is a quick and easy one to make for those nights when you need to throw something together quick! It's also really cheap to make and normally you will have the things already in your fridge and cupboard to make this with.

Ingredients

1 package Hillshire Farm Polish Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage
6-8 Potatoes
1 cup Mild Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Butter (LOTS)

Instructions

Cut sausage into 1/2 inch circles
Peel 6-8 potatoes and slice in half length wise.
Take the 2 halves and cut 1/2 inch pieces until all are cut.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat stove between medium low and medium (you do not want it on medium due to potatoes and sausage scorching)
Add 4 tbl. spoons of butter to pan
Add sausage and potatoes and mix
Add 4-6 more tbl. spoons of butter around top of mixture and cover.
Cook for 30-45 minutes (depending on stove) stirring occasionally
About 5 minutes before done test potatoes by stabbing with fork to see if it is easy to puncture.
Then sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese evenly over top and add a bit of salt to taste.
Cool. Serve. Enjoy!

Notes

*Note: If you potatoes seem to soak up all the butter halfway through cook time, then add a few more tablespoons of butter to keep from burning*

Substitute sausage for turkey sausage and imitation butter for butter for a healthier meal although I DO NOT reccomend it. It will not taste as good!
